9 Students Kidnapped In Delta Freed

by Joshua Biem

Nine students who were kidnapped last Friday in Delta State have regained their freedom.
The spokesperson of the Delta State Police Command, Bright Edafe, confirmed their release by their abductors in a terse message he sent to LEADERSHIP on Monday night.
He wrote: “All nine of them have regained their freedom please.” The students were abducted by gunmen while travelling on the East-West Road in Ughelli, Delta State.
Sources said the students were travelling in a Sienna from Calabar on Friday night around the Evwreni axis of the East-West Road in Delta when their vehicle was seized and diverted by kidnappers.
