Between August 25th and 31st, 2024, nine Nigerian states recorded 14 violent incidents that resulted in 77 casualties (71 fatalities and six injured victims) and nine kidnap victims. While the kidnap count decreased by 78 per cent, violent incidents and casualty counts increased by 27.3 per cent and 156.7 per cent, respectively, compared to the previous week.
