by Nextier SPD

The humanitarian crisis in North-East Nigeria has continued as the Boko Haram insurgency, and the counterinsurgency by the Nigerian security forces and non-state armed actors have raged on for more than a decade. The activities of the insurgent group and those of the counterinsurgency forces have resulted in massive displacement, lack of protection, destruction of infrastructure facilities and the collapse of essential services in several areas of the sprawling region. These humanitarian tragedies have elicited interventions of the Nigerian government, its allies and humanitarian community.

This edition of Nextier SPD Policy Weekly highlights the daunting challenges of data crisis for humanitarian interventions in the Boko Haram-ravaged North-East Nigeria.
