In sixty years, the CBN (Central Bank of Nigeria) has rarely conducted independent assessments of its intervention programs. We maintain a real-time database tracking security issues across Nigeria's 36 states and the FCT, including piracy, terrorism, kidnapping, banditry, farmer-herder conflicts, secession movements, cultism, civil unrest, and communal clashes. Our database monitors conflict incidents at community, local, state, and regional levels, recording involved parties, triggers, government responses, and detailed inventories of fatalities, injuries, kidnappings, and displacement.
Supported by the EU-funded and British Council-backed MCN (Managing conflict in northeast Nigeria) Programme, Nextier consultants assessed community resilience and peacebuilding initiatives in northeast Nigeria. The study focused on how communities in Borno, Adamawa, and Yobe are responding to the insurgency and how local peacebuilding efforts can be supported. It also evaluated community efforts in managing the conflict's impact on the climate-affected Lake Chad Basin.
The study examines community-based dispute resolution structures in selected LGAs of Plateau State, Nigeria, where identity-related violence and climate-induced farmer-pastoralist conflicts are prevalent. The findings will guide the Norwegian Refugee Council's (NRC) Nigeria program in effectively addressing Housing, Land, and Property (HLP) disputes in the state. Fieldwork was conducted in Bassa, Wasse, Riyom, Shendam, Bokkos, and Mangu LGAs.

Nextier consultants oversee the periodic monitoring and assessment of the European Union-funded Agents for Citizen-Driven Transformation (ACT) program's contributions to its CSO partners in Plateau, Borno, Edo, Adamawa, and Kano states in Nigeria. The evaluation aims to measure the progress of the EU-ACT Program and provide empirical data to determine if a strategic adjustment is needed for improved implementation during the project's remaining period.

WomenLift Health and Bixal engaged Nextier to conduct a stakeholder analysis of Nigeria’s health sector to guide their Nigeria programs. Funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, WomenLift Health aims to empower female leaders in global health. The project assessed women's representation, identified barriers and opportunities in leadership, and analyzed efforts toward diversity and inclusion. Nextier used desk reviews, stakeholder mapping, interviews, and focus groups, with the insights informing WomenLift Health's Nigeria leadership development program.

• Evaluated the economic and financial viability of domesticating national gas resources versus export, for the National Economic Management Team. • Conducted a study for NNPC on optimizing midstream capacity to unlock the domestic gas market. • Assisted the Department of Petroleum Resources in creating the Nigerian Gas Network Code.
• Assisted the federal government in drafting the 2018 Gas Flare Prohibition regulations. • Supported the Nigerian Gas Flare Commercialisation Program in developing bankable commercial instruments. • Helped draft the National Gas Policy for the federal government. • Aided the National Assembly in drafting the Petroleum Industry Act.
• Dissemination of critical information to increase awareness of health issues related to gas flares through multiple media sources • Provided technical support to the Ministry of Environment on how to transition from kerosene and firewood to cleaner gas-based fuels as a measure to preserve the Nigerian forests
• Assisted NUPRC and the Ministry of Environment in creating a policy framework to reduce methane intensity. • Developed a monitoring, reporting, and verification guideline for methane.
