Policy Weekly Pipeline Hell Fires by Nextier SPD January 20, 2020 Published by Nextier SPD January 20, 2020 17 On October 12, 2018, two communities in Abia State were ravaged by pipeline explosion inferno, with the death of over 150 person, many of whom were scooping fuel from burst pipelines. Nigeria is still ravaged by incessant pipeline explosions with dire consequences to lives, livelihoods, investment and national image. Following the Abia State pipeline inferno, this edition of Nextier SPD Weekly analyses the issue and provides recommendations to reverse the ugly trend.
