Police Arrest 3 Suspects in Attempt to Kidnap a Car Dealer in Lagos

The Lagos State Police Spokesman SP Benjamin Hundeyin has confirmed the arrest of three suspects in connection with an attempt to kidnap a car dealer on Ebute Igbogbo road in Ikorodu. The suspects, Taiwo Olayinka, Azeez Sodiq, and Saheed Moonstruck, were seen in a viral video posted by an X user with the username @XTrends, stripped naked and covered in blood while begging for help. The X user wrote “These boys tried to kidnap a car dealer today at Ebute igbogbo road ikorodu today”

In response to the video, the Spokesman retweeted and stated, “Three suspects, Taiwo Olayinka (30), Azeez Sodiq (33), and Saheed Moonstruck (23), have been in our custody since yesterday, shortly after the incident. Efforts are ongoing to arrest the remaining two suspects who escaped.

“Meanwhile, an investigation has commenced.”

However, when contacted for an update on the investigation, the Lagos Police Public Relations Officer stated, “The three suspects are still in our custody; no further arrests have been made.”
