News Reports Police Confirm Arrest of Suspected Cultist, ‘Bode Itapa’ in Osun by Joshua Biem April 3, 2024 Published by Joshua Biem April 3, 2024 6 Osogbo—The Osun State Police command, yesterday, confirmed the arrest of a notorious cultist, Bode Omokayode, based in Ilesa, Ilesa-West Local Government Area of the state. The suspect, popularly known as ‘Bode Itaapa’ was said to have been arrested on Sunday by operatives of the police anti-cultism unit in Ilesa. He was said to be involved in many cult clashes, where many people were killed in Ijesaland. The Police in a statement by its spokesperson, Yemisi Opalola, had in July 2022, declared him wanted for offences ranging from conspiracy, cultism to murder. He was also alleged to have been constituting menace in Ilesa and Osun State as a whole.Confirming his arrest, Opalola said the suspect is in custody for interrogation while investigation is ongoing.
