Police Recover 3-Month Abandoned Baby in Anambra

by Joshua Biem

THE Anambra State Police command has recovered a 3-month-old baby abandoned in front of Oraukwu Boys Technical College in Idemili North local government area of Anambra State.

The state Police command said the baby was recovered by a good Samaritan and brought to Eziowelle Police Station.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Tochukwu Ikenga said all efforts made to locate the parents or relatives of the baby for identification and claim, have proved abortive.

According to Ikenga, the Police have handed over the baby to the Director of the Welfare Department in Idemili North local government area for safe custody.

He urged anyone who can identify or assist the Police in reuniting the baby with the family to come to the police headquarters.
